Is this bag free to bring on Norwegian flights?
Yes. As long as you stay within the maximum dimensions and your bag fits under the seat in front of you, it is guaranteed free as your personal item.
Why does the size say 30x40x20 instead of 40x30x20?
The order in which the airline writes down the dimensions differs, but the three outer measurements (length, width, depth) are what counts. Whether you place the bag upright or on its side, it stays within the maximum limits. You have nothing to worry about!
Can I bring an extra overhead cabin bag as well?
This depends on your ticket type. Check your booking: some fares only include the underseat bag, while others also allow an extra cabin bag for the overhead bins.
Does the vacuum system make the bag wider?
No, the opposite. You remove air from your clothes, not the bag. Make sure to pull the side compression straps tight afterward to keep the bag "flat" for the sizer.
